What does it mean to be a Service Site at our events?
As a service site, you will be able to request a specific number of volunteers to help complete a project on the day of our event. Common projects requested in previous years include gardening, raking, mulching, weeding, painting, sorting donations, archival work, and general spring cleaning.
The most important factor we look for in a service site is the ability to facilitate a meaningful day of service for our volunteers while positively impacting the Tallahassee community.
Additionally, please note the following restrictions for projects:
- No use of power tools or chemicals
- Cannot require use of specialized skills
- Cannot last more than 4 hours (The Little and Big Event will take place between 10 a.m.- 2 p.m.)
Who can register as a service site?
Including, but not limited to:
- Homes
- Agencies
- Schools
- Businesses
- Organizations
- Churches
- Homeless Shelters
We are non-need based and will accept anyone as long as the job site is safe for our volunteers.
